Outlaw Star: Chapter of the Galactic Dragon Vein (OUTLAW STAR 銀河の龍脈編^? Outlaw Star Ginga no Ryū Myaku Hen) is a two-volume light novel adaptation of the twenty-six episode series, Outlaw Star (created by Sunrise Studios in association with Morning Star Studio and Takehiko Itō). Chapter of the Galactic Dragon Vein was written by Katsuhiko Tiba (千葉克彦 Chiba Katsuhiko) and illustrated by Takuya Saitou (斎藤卓也 Saitō Takuya). The night novels were published on October 1998 and February 1999.^[1]^[2]

The light novels were based on Outlaw Star and have been released in Japan by Shueisha under its Super Dash Bunko label. Chapter of the Galactic Dragon Vein was written by Katsuhiko Tiba (千葉克彦 Chiba Katsuhiko), illustrated by Takuya Saitou (斎藤卓也 Saitō Takuya), and released in two volumes on October 1998 and February 1999. The two books retell the early events that trigger Gene and company's search for the Galactic Leyline.^[1]^[2]
