It's been a minute since I've seen it, but if I liked anything about it it's that the series went out of its way to exposition about its alien species through internal monologue. Basically, the world-building. The characters I could take or leave, I don't think I really had a favorite.
Subject change: Although, since they aired "Hot Springs Planet Tenrei" on this incarnation of Adult Swim/Toonami, the very page should probably include that it was aired, despite its adult content, don't you think?
The alien cactus called itself Great One, a name designation, not the name of a species, according to the English version of the anime and the subtitles from the Japanese version. It’s not really The Great One, making “the” unnecessary for the page when addressing Great One.
It says "You may call me Great One" to Gene and the others. While it is the name it gives the main characters as its given one, referring to it in the articles as "the Great One" works grammatically given the how it also works as a title.
It's the same as referring to the Prince and the Vizier in Prince of Persia series as "the Prince" and not simply "Prince" and "the Vizier" and not simply "Vizier".
I'm fairly certain I asked users not to create any more pages until the recently created articles were formatted correctly. That said, it was a duplicate page created by recent user who misspelled the name is all.
The page doesn't exist yet, but the way it is written in that red coloring says it's called Cactus Bastard. I only have the anime to follow, and the cactus called itself Great One, both in the Japanese language and the English dubbed version. Might I refer to it as such?
Although I haven't made the site itself public yet (I can share the URL privately) I'm currently working on a library of Outlaw Star media and general information. It's for a website I'm currently building called Outlaw World. This will include things like bios, weapon descriptions, locations, episode summaries, you name it. (Same goes for the manga too.) As far as my own responsibilities go I'll be using the website for my scans of various Outlaw Star art books and doujinshi as well as my translation of the manga. It will be difficult to handle that and general information at the same time.
This Wikia is an invaluable resource (I've learned many new things from it) which I'll link to, but I'm looking for content writers who'd like to write in a concise style for easier readability for those who casually visit the site. So if you're interested in helping out with Outlaw World, feel free to send an e-mail to mantisAHToutlawstarnex.us or send a PM on the forum. Thanks.
Here's a screenshot of the site very early in development with no content yet (I started the site itself yesterday and I'm making some rapid progress) for a gist of the navigation. At the left with be a second navigation menu for each main section. Anyway, thanks for reading.
Thank you for the offer, but, respectfully, I have to decline. I'm pretty much preoccupied here at the Wiki (whenever I find the free time), where a lot of articles still needs a lot a work. I basically have to start advertising this place at the central community, because as it stands, it's not exactly on fire despite the re-release of the DVD and Blu-Ray by Funimation.
That's fair enough then and I completely understand what you mean about activity. Best of luck with the Wikia and thanks for continuing to support the fandom. If you'd like to review Outlaw World's progress in the meantime, the URL is: http://www.outlawstar.info
Perhaps when it's in a readier state it can be cited as a resource, but that may be quite a while off.
