The Tendo King[1] is the leader of the Kei Pirate Guild and one of the most powerful men in the Toward Stars universe. The Tendo King rules the entire Kei Guild and is the most powerful Tao master in the galaxy.[citation needed] Even Hazanko, a powerful Tao master in his own right, cannot match the Tendo King's might.
Biography[]
When the the guild learned of the Galactic Leyline, the Tendo King entrusted Hazanko, the strongest of the eight guild leaders, to find the Leyline for him.[1] However, the King was unaware of Hanzako's intentions to take the Leyline for himself.[2]
When the Kei Pirates locate the Leyline, they are unable to breach its natural defenses. Because there were still secrets to be revealed, Hazanko launched the "Leyline Project".
Both branches of the Leyline Project proved successful, producing the XGP 15A-II, the fastest and most-advanced grappler ship ever built, and the bio-android, Melfina, who would serve as the navigation system of the ship into the Leyline.
However, the XGP and Melfina were stolen by an outlaw named Hilda and later by another outlaw named Gene Starwind.
Although patient at first, the Tendo King became impatient and ordered Hazanko to find another way into the Leyline, which he eventually did. The Tendo King sent his overseer to check on Hazanko's progress, but he was killed by Hazanko and four of the Anten Seven once he found out about Hazanko's true intentions.
As a result, the Tendo King never learned of Hazanko's treachery, his death at the hands of Starwind and his crew, or the Leyline's relocation.
It is unknown what he did afterwards.
