Gene's confidence is shaken when he is challenged by Shimi, one of the Anten Seven, a group of assassins within the Kei Pirate Guild, commanded by Hazanko.

- In the broadcast version of the Anten Seven's introduction, references to Tobigera as a assassin was censored to avoid explicit references to murder. Similarly, references to sexuality were censored in the Hamushi scene.
- The electronic handheld that Aisha and Gene are seen playing in the episode greatly resembles old handheld video game devices, such as the Game Boy.
